Caltagirone is located in the south-central

Piazza Armerina, just a few km away from Caltagirone.

The Madonie Natural Park is located
between the central region and the northern coast. Far away from

For the ones who will arrive in Sicily by plane we suggest
to arrive/depart in the airport of Palermo. For the ones

DAY 1 - Arrival in the airport of Palermo and collect car rental.
 2 NIGHTS IN THE LAND MARSALA WINE
Marsala is the great sweet wine of Sicily
bottled exclusively in this unique landscape of Wesyern Sicily. Considered
a prestigious
wine already in 1844, it can be sweet or semidry and its color
is amber or ruby.
During your stay you can visit a famous wine-cellar and have
wine tasting.
Accommodation: farm house located in the country between Marsala
and Trapani.
To visit in the surroundings: the ancient village of Erice famous
for its Medieval aspects, the archaeological zone of Segesta,
the Punics ruins of Mothia, Selinunte and Marsala.
 2 NIGHTS IN THE AREA OF NERO D'AVOLA WINE
This red superb wine is grown in mid-hills
areas in the South Eastern part of Sicily, mostly in the province of Ragusa.
Nero d'Avola wine is the basic for red Sicilian DOC wines and
the combination with Frappato variety has produced the well known
Cerasuolo di Vittoria wine.
Visit to a wine-cellar + wine tasting.

Mt. Etna is the highest volcano of Europe.
The climate of its foothills is characterised by large temperatures changes

allow a slow maturation of the grapes. The volcanic soil gives
wines a unique mineral taste typical of Mt. Etna. The main
grape varieties are the red ones Nerello Mascalese and Nerello
Mantellato
from which they produce the superbe Etna Rosso wine.

DAY 8 - Drive to the airport of Palermo, return car rental and

Dinner in hotel. After dinner sightseeing tour of "Palermo

 DAY 2 - SEGESTA / ERICE / WINE TASTING / COOKING LESSON
After
breakfast departure towards Western Sicily. First stopping
at Segesta visiting its magnificent Greek Theatre and Doric
Temple.
Then visit of Erice and transfer to Marsala, famous for its
unique wine production.
Lunch in a typical seafood restaurant near the beach. Fine traditional
dishes.
Afternoon visit to a winery and wine tasting of the great sweet
wines of Sicily.
Cooking lesson in a countryside villa where our chef will teach
how to prepare some traditional dishes that will be part of your
dinner menu. After dinner back to the hotel and overnight.
DAY 3 - AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA
Breakfast and departure
to Agrigento for a guided visit to the Valley of the Temples,
one of the most representative Greek site
of the Mediterranean. After the lunch in a typical restaurant, you will travel to
Piazza Armerina to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, a Roman
villa rich of extraordinary mosaics. Transfer to a typical farm
house in the area and check in. In the working farm they produce
oranges and lemons. Time for rest.
Typical dinner in the farm. The cuisine is based on genuine
food such as pasta, ricotta, salsiccia, local meat and vegetables.Overnight
in the farm.
 DAY 4 - SIRACUSA / THE OLIVE OIL / THE MT. ETNA WINES
Breakfast.
Guided visit of Siracusa, the powerful town of Sicily during
the Greek age. Visit to the archaeological zone and the
historical centre of Ortigia isle.
Lunch in typical restaurant where you will have delicious fish
dishes.
Afternoon: you will travel to the countryside near Catania to
visit a olive trees plantation, learn about olive oil and have
tasting. Then visit to an estate at the slopes of Mt. Etna, the
highest active volcano of Europe. Large vineyards and panoramic
views. Visit to the vine cellar and wine tasting.
Check in at the hotel and time for leisure. Dinner and overnight.
 DAY 5 - EXCURSION ON MT. ETNA / TAORMINA
Breakfast. Excursion
on Mt. Etna, up to 1.900 m. of altitude and possibility to
proceed by jeep and escort up to 2.500 m.
under the main active craters.
Lunch in a typical farm house. Superb recipes, food of their
own production.
Transfer to Taormina for a walking visit to this beautiful town
famous for its Greek-Roman Amphitheatre and its enchanting views
on the Jonic Sea and Mt. Etna. Enjoy the "dolce vita" life
style, the several shops and cafes. Free time.
Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
 DAY 6 - COOKING LESSON / THE MADONIE MOUNTAINS NATURAL PARK
Breakfast.
Transfer to the Madonie Mountains Natural Park, an amazing
country region rich of ancient small villages, 70 kms
away from Palermo.
Cooking lesson in local farm house where the chef will teach
some essential recipes focusing on the cuisine tradition of the
province of Palermo. Lunch in the farm. The menu will also include
the dishes prepared during the lesson.
Afternoon: visit to Polizzi Generosa, one of the ancient village
of the Park, rich of historical and artistic beauties and a tasting
of typical sweetmeats.
Check in at the hotel. Time for rest. Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 7 - ARAB-NORMAN AND BAROQUE PALERMO / FOOD MARKET / MONREALE
Breakfast. Transfer to Palermo for a full day visit to this
ancient town that has been crossroads of civilisation in the
Mediterranean for ages and ages. Visit to the Norman Palace,
the Palatine Chapel, the Cathedral, etc.. Walking visit to the
Vucciria, the most popular food market of town.
Lunch in a typical restaurant during the visit of town.
Visit to Monreale, ancient town near Palermo, famous for its
wonderful Norman Cathedral and the adjoining cloister. Back to
Palermo. Free time for a city walking and shopping. Check in
at the hotel.
Farewell dinner in charming restaurant. A superb and refined
menu based on typical recipes elaborated again by the best chefs.
Overnight.

 VILLA PITTORINO B&B - SALINA
Villa Pittorino rises at the centre of the homonymous square,
in the center of Leni. The town is placed on Salina Island,
which is part of the archipelago
of Eolie, in the area of Messina, in Northern Sicily. Villa Pittorino is
a historical building dated 1820. It was completely restored
in 1992 and it is
placed in the center of Leni , just a few hundreds meters far from Rinella
beach. The villa rises in a round called Piazza Pittorino, which takes its
name from the statue placed in the middle of it, depicting the current owner's
grandfather who was the first doctor of the island.
Rooms
The Villa is made of two floors: the ground floor is by rent.
Every apartment has two rooms, each one with two beds, a cooking
corner, tv, fan and a bathroom with shower. Outside there is
a laundry with a hot shower. All around there is a garden with
tropical plants and a terrace with barbecue, beach umbrellas,
armchairs and tables.
The island of Salina is connected with all the other islands
(Lipari, Vulcano etc..) by a convenient and fast hovercraft
(few minutes) many times a day.
 Santa Margherita Farm House - Gioiosa Marea (Messina)
Santa Margherita is located
in a splendid and panoramic position in the hills, 1 kilometres far from the
seaside, in the Northern
part of Sicily in front
of Aeolian Islands, between Gioiosa Marea with Capo Calavà and the Gulf
of Patti.
 Accommodation: double rooms with bathroom and fully furnished
family cottages with 2 or 3 double rooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms, a
living room and Kitchen and it's possible for bed and breakfast,

centre of artistic ceramics production.
 Codavolpe - Giarre (Catania)
The farm lies 200 metres above sea level, on the
eastern side has a lovely wiew of Taormina and the Calabrian Coast. From
the farm it is easy to visit
archeological and landscape sites: Siracusa, Piazza Armerina, Agrigento,
Catania, Acireale, Acitrezza, Acicastello, le Gole d'Alcantara,
Taormina ed Etna. Organic
farming: citrus fruits, fruit trees, vegetables. Traditional sicilian cuisine
and vegetarian meals. The owners will be only too glad to give knowledgeable
suggestions to their guests, who may ask advice about itineraries and places
of interest. The farm is ideal for who loves a quiet and relaxing atmosphere
among evergreen trees, blooming, flora creeping wines, a spacious area where
they can walk, as well as shaded bowers where they can rest.
 Trinità Farm
House - Mascalucia (Catania)
Trinità farm house is
located in Mascalucia (Catania Province) on the foothills of Etna. The original
barns, stalls
and warehouses were built at
the beginning of the seventeenth century. The farm lies at 450 metres on the
sea level. This area was an ancient Roman installation. Trinità belongs
to the noble family of Barone Bonajuto and it's famous for its precious and
unique botanical garden. In the working farm they grow vegetables, tangerine
and various kind of fruits.
 The ancient building and warehouses become comfortable and nice
guests lodgings with private bathroom and kitchens. Guests may
also have only double rooms with private bathroom. It's possible
to have bed and breakfast, half board or full board. The cuisine
is based on ancient Sicilian tradition by using of vegetables,
citrus fruits, essence and spices of the garden to give dishes
an original pleasing taste. Guest may also personally pick up
vegetables and all various fruits. Trinità organize guided
