Pila and Central Valley

Pila is a made- to-measure world for everyday living in the mountains: all around there are large forests and snowy slopes: and only a 20- minute cable car ride away, the art and history of Aosta. The Pila basin is an enchanting natural landscape with a view sweeping the Alps from Mount Blanc to Monte Rosa.
Snowboard and telemark enthusiast will have a great time on the plentiful snow of these wide-open spaces. From the "Point de la Pierre" you can try one of the most exciting fresh snow descents in Aosta Valley. In these unique mountains, there are magnificent ski-touring excursions, that begin at the evocative San Gratio Hermitage, plus the option to ski around Monte Emilius.
