Breuil-Cervinia

Breuil-Cervinia lies in the light of the great pyramid, 2500 meters below the Matterhorn's splendid silholuette. Breuil-Cervinia is a world famous skiing resort. Its skiing area with over 150 kilometers of pistes is the one of the largests in the Alps and you can ski all day without ever doing one run twice. The ultra- modern ski installations take you in merely minutes to the 3489 meters of Plateau Rosa, where you can also ski in the summer. The view is absolutly breathtaking, and scans peaks over four thousand metres high. From Plateau Rosa try the run on Vertina glacier, over 10 kilometers long, which skims the upper col of Cime Bianche and from where you can reach the skiing area of Valtournenche, or else descend to Zermatt in Switzerland.

At Trockener Stegg there is the cable car which goes the 3886 meters of Piccolo Cervino. From these vast glaciers an exciting run begins, and some of the most spectacular off-piste skiing in the Alps- in the company of a mountain guide, of course.

Back at Breuil-Cervinia there is a heliskiing service and you can also ski by night on an illuminated piste.
